PROJECT HISTORY AND HISTORIOGRAPHY of culture
and ideas
The
transversal project on history and historiography means the recognition
of a need. This project implies the collective participation at a reflection
on methodological and theoretical issues.
It started with the Conference "History of ideas /ideas with history" (April 2006), was followed, in 2007, by a strong participation of four researchers (belonging to four different groups within the CHC), at a Bucharest Conference (May 2007) on historiography of culture and the methodological questions involved. This lead to the definition of a project called "History and historiography of culture and ideas" which has, as an objective, to organize a conference on nineteenth century historiography and the publication of the 2006 debate.
This project will be pursued with, as international references, professors from the Ecole des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales of Paris and from the University of Oriental Piemont (Vercelli).
